My name is Morris Cheston, and I am a high school student from the Bay Area. I am an avid learner with an interest in all things STEM: from abstract math to astrophysics to engineering. I love learning from others and from my mistakes. I am also an aspiring aerospace engineer, and I have compiled some of my engineering projects on this website to share with other aerospace enthusiasts. Take a look around. Email me at mo4cheston@gmail.com to ask questions, suggest project ideas, or just say hello.

Outside of engineering, I am also passionate about golf. As of fall 2026, I have a 1.3 handicap index, and I made my first hole-in-one in July 2026. I have played on my school’s varsity golf team since my freshman year. During the 2026 season, I co-captained the team to our best finish in school history, with a team victory at the league finals, a team qualification for the California Interscholastic Federation Central Coast Section (CIF-CCS) Qualifying Tournament, and a school-record low team score of 173. Though my team did not make it past the first round of the qualifying tournament, I advanced to the CIF-CCS Championships as an individual.

In May and June 2026, I attended both the Air Force Academy and the Naval Academy Summer Seminars. I want to combine my passion for aerospace engineering with my interest in military service; in college, I plan to enroll in an Air Force Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (AFROTC) program and, ultimately, hope to serve in the Space Force.

I have always been fascinated by roller coasters. From Disneyland in California to Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, to Hersheypark in Pennsylvania, I have traveled across the country in search of some of the most thrilling rides. As an aspiring engineer, I am also curious about how they are designed and built. In the third grade, I designed my own roller coaster with industry-grade software. Currently, my favorite ride is Wildcat’s Revenge at Hersheypark. This ride may not be the tallest or fastest coaster in the world, but this Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC) hybrid delivers fantastic pacing and a ton of ejector airtime. Its step-up underflip is also my favorite inversion right now.
